Wow maybe they all knew it was coming?! Alisyn also seems upset and is tweeting back to fans that are saying that she should have gotten the weekday show (I guess she really wanted it)
I found out that Elisabeth hosted F&F for the week of April 16, 2007 but can't find any videos/caps (don't know if this website was around back then?) I guess Fox was waiting for Elisabeth to get fired off of The View so they can make these changes.

As I mentioned earlier, I found out about the news when Ainsley linked Fox's announcement on her Facebook page
The next day, she tweeted the moment Elisabeth's goodbye announcement came on The View
I'm guessing it was a poorly kept secret at NewsCorp

If conservative women want out of Fox News, I am sure One America News or The Blaze will be willing to take them out of FNC's hands.Then they can spread the message to help get the two networks on all cable outlets and let the ratings games begin.

Never Knew Elisabeth hosted F&F. News to me. This site is ten years old, but due to bandwidth sometimes the posts get pruned. But it is all news to me that Hasselbeck once hosted. Judging by the date it was so long ago that Kiran had just been fired and Ainsley was not on Fox News. At the time Friel was just hired. It could be that I can't recall. Ainsley arrived a few months later.

I wish whomever lands where ever good luck. Condolences to Ally, Ainsley and Anna. I wont be one of the viewers of any FNC shows except "The Five" as long as I can mute Gutfeld. So we are going from a journalist(GC) to a "talking head(EH)" on F&F's I guess. Watch for number one to dive in the ratings. Kealmeade and Doocy aren't going to carry the show.

Yeah you are correct. Kiran was fired on or around February 16, 2007 from Fox News after she wanted Gretchen moved out of Fox and Friends.

Then Friel and Ainsley arrived around the same time. Took a longtime to find info. But I found a site from January 18, 2007 saying Ainsley would leave KENS on February 1st, 2007 and Vivid Vicki was replacing her at KENS in San Antonio, Texas.

there was this tidbit:
“Watching Hasselbeck on F&F with Brian and Steve was like one of the old days with Steve, E.D. and Brian. The chemistry was all there again. And she was having a great time. If she were to somehow come on permanently, they would sweep the competition under the rug…”

I think this came after Elisabeth's confrontation with Roise. Wish that crap never happened. It set in motion FNC's interest in her. And so when rumors were around she would be fired from The View then Fox News came calling. And you could tell they wanted her in 2010 or so when she said she wasn't leaving to Fox News on air on the View. I'm lukewarm about her hiring. I'm upset about the moves to be honest and mostly the Gretchen getting a one hour show because it makes no sense when Megyn's show was two hours and after all Gretchen has done for the channel. And also because I don't see Elisabeth as a news anchor or part of Fox News. I don't get why Ailes wants her so much. I consider Gretchen a hard hitting journalist, but I consider Hasselbeck to be less than that having been on a ditzy talk show.

Ok then. I don't recall a thing about her hosting the show to be honest. It was on April 12. 2007.

They could give Shep the 2nd hour on Megyn's show so Shep would anchor from 2pm - 4pm

Been away for a few weeks, so forgive me if this was brought up.

I was reading a tweet from some person to Kiran about this job. They mentioned being disappointed that it was not her. She replied back she was as well and loved that show.

Not sure if she was just being nice or if she actually is looking for work(or really did try to get back there)?

Kiran really did enjoy working at FNC and on F&F. And contrary to the reports she was not trying to get rid of Gretchen. All she ask for was IF Gretchen was still hosting F&F in two years (of Kiran's 3 yr contract, standard time period) that Kiran be allowed to talk to other channels. But FNC did not like that clause and said NO! Then her agent and FNC got into a pi$$ing match and Kiran lost out. Fox fired her and got pissed when she was immediately hired by CNN. So the FNC publicity dept went into over drive distorting what happened to make Kiran sound bad. And everyone bought into it!

That's a Great idea!

Give Shep a 6:30 newscast at Main FOX so Megyn can take his FOX Report spot!

Doubt that will happen
Local fox stations make their $$ at that hour with local news and syndicated shows
Some have suggested Shep goes 2-4 p.m. and Megyn gets 7
Not gonna happen
Shep isn't going anywhere

I was hoping that Anna Kooiman would get the job, but I guess Elisabeth Hasselbeck would do.

The funny thing is that Doocy and Kilmeade as co-host are actually upgrades over the ladies of the View.
