OK, so Cleveland has officially replaced Boston for the place to put CNN's top tier anchors.

Case in point, here is the live coverage from this Saturday morning -

Yup, that is Brianna Keilar standing in front of that house where those women were held hostage. What breaking news is going to come from Cleveland this morning?

What's worse, they have Victor, not Brianna, in the studio covering other stories.

All the major news networks are doing it, its becoming an addiction for them, waiting for the next big sensational news story, send all the anchors and reporters to said location, cover the story ad nausem, until they tire of it, then move on, waiting for the next big story...and every one involved become forgotten, meanwhile important "mundane" news is ignored. :Bang

A theory I have on this --quoted from a Brianna thread earlier:

 Nope -- that's not the problem. CNN Center still belongs to CNN.

No, the problem is likely who's running CNN now -- Zucker.
Remember, this is the guy who started the Today Show on it's habit of throwing people halfway around the
globe for practically any reason -- any excuse to show them standing "on location" even if it's only for a day or two.
NBC's travel budget since then has been astronomical.

Did you expect him not to start pulling the same stunts with CNN?

I'm half expecting a new feature called "Where In The World Is Brooke Baldwin" :?

No, we don't want that to happen. EVER! Unless catching that quick 30 second news break in between galanos and that other douchenozzle rambling on and on about whatever trial they're talking about non-stop for no reason what so ever is what you're looking for.

Recorded Brooke Baldwin's two hours today. Not enough to work with to either cap or put together for a vid, but what's more disturbing was the content........she was doing in-depth coverage of OJ Simpson's in-court appearance for his appeal of his conviction. Couple that with the ongoing Castro brothers coverage and the sentencing of that sick abortion doctor and CNN is becoming the reincarnation of Court TV. Anderson Cooper led his show with new info on the Castro brothers case.....new pictures from their backyard that, as Anderson said, "looked like a junkyard."

Isn't this what HLN is for?!?!

..and there off! anchors and reporters heading for OK. to cover the tornado that struck...then move on, leaving the people to deal with the aftermath for months and years.

Brooke Baldwin finished out the week in Oklahoma. CNN needs to put their studio anchors on site for situations like that for 2 or 3 days and then get them back in the studio and let their field reporters do their jobs. Brooke was standing in front of a demolished house doing a show-biz story today......it was a sight to behold and not in a good way.

I disagree, no they really don't, they are doing it only for ratings (as with the other networks) field reporters are good enough
