Two things about Colleen and why I think people are possibly paying more attention to her now than before:

1 - She's a naturally beautiful woman - she's never been one to wear tons of makeup or attention-grabbing, "stylish" clothes...she's simply a great-looking woman with nice body features and a sensible taste in fashion.
2 - She's been on TV for years now, with a fairly loyal following, but HD broadcasting has only been around for a minor portion of her career. So while many of us grew to like seeing her just for her aforementioned natural beauty and for being one of the main hosts for HSN, we've only somewhat recently started seeing her in actual high definition detail.

In short - if you thought she was pretty before, she's only gotten noticeably prettier with the advancement of HD broadcasting, plus she has a sort of "down to Earth" beauty and seemingly good genetics, so she's aging well and there's not any sort of drastic physical or stylistic drop-off like so many Hollywood celebrities are criticized for.
