Anybody know why some if not most of the models and hosts on the shopping channels have stopped wearing thier wedding rings.. but not the guests?

Did a memo go around for some reason?

Is everyone now suddenly divorced... I know mthe divorce rate is high, but this is ridiculous.

I often wondered if any of the jewelry they had on was actually theirs. I remember dealing with a company that often had to go to QVC for repairing things. He said that upon arrival you were searched, you had to empty your pockets and put everything into a bag that the guards kept with them, and then when you were doing your work you had a guard over your shoulder the entire time to make sure you didn't put anything in your tool bag. You were then searched when you left again.

With access to the jewelry maybe they find it easier to say nothing of your own in certain areas. That way you don't have to worry about where it came from or who it belongs to. If they have jewelry it belongs to the company.

Plus the ladies must fret that they will lose their own personal jewelry??

When the ladies are showing jewelry, they never have their wedding rings on so customers don't call in asking can I get that item the host is wearing. This I think also goes along when a host hosts a non-jewelry show an hour before a jewelry as well.

They could just model the item for sale on their right hand

The majority of the time they do model the item on their right hand, but use the left one for pointing out things on the item. With some items use both hands. Like Albany is in this video.

but it has to be said that the divorce rate in this line of work is rather high.maybe it is the odd hours they work,or always being exposed to alot of people,tempting them to stray.

1. Models & Hosts are selling XYZ Brand crap - NOT the rings & crap they personally own and not items that may clash or confuse buyers. They wear what they are TOLD to wear. They are given guidelines and instructions with every show.

2. The divorce rates at QVC aren't any different than the rest of the Country....... Suppose every single woman on QVC/HSN just got divorced......... who cares? They aren't going to be hitting any of us on the rebound.

3. Women are always playing games with rings and other items. Why anyone cares about it is beyond me as a Host's marital status is none of my business.

4. Security is always an issue.

My guess they don't wear what can't or won't be sold on their shopping channel...can you imaging the size of the diamond Colleen would wear...my guess 5 ct.

But it spoils the fantasies by saying that.

"Women are always playing games" etc. Please expand.. I agree "btw".. but I want to hear it from someone else...

Not to rain on anyone's parade but really guys, do you think any of you here have or would have a shot with these women? So what's the big deal about not wearing a wedding ring?

In theory you are correct, but look at what these guys married. As long as the women are single, no matter how slim it is, there is always a chance ...well for some of us.




Too me it isn't. I have friend who has been married for 30 years, that do to allergies cannot wear her jewelry the majority of the time.
