Although she won't be on the air this Sunday, that day marks Robin's tenth anniversary on HLN. Yes, Robin's first day was on 9/11/01.

Yikes! I think I remember reading that in Robin's book. What a debut!
I had not heard of Robin Meade back then. Apparently, I missed her by a couple of years at WSVN in So. Florida. Don't think I watched HLN (or much of any cable news) back then (it's possible that my cable company at the time didn't carry HLN, I know they didn't carry Fox News back then (they did add it later). And I hadn't heard of this site yet (did it even exist 10 years ago?)

Anyway, congrats to Robin for 10 years, hopefully (at least) 10 more (I'm sure Robin will still look great in her 50s!) :mrgreen:

They started her out on a Tuesday? That's odd.

But I'm not sure that Robin even got any airtime that day... As I recall, shortly after the attacks began, Headline News shared the CNN programming at least for the rest of the day. Probably starting around 9:30-10am. If she was on, it would have been cut short.

Was Robin even doing the morning shift at that point, or did she start out as a regular anchor for another part of the day like Linda & Chuck?

According to her book, she was taping a program when the events occurred, but the way she worded it, I'm not completely sure if she actually went on the air that day or not, but it would still qualify as her first day at what was then CNN Headline News. It would be a few months later when the network gave her the morning show.
