Not to turn this into tech discussion, but I got to address this. I seriously doubt cable and satellite are going anywhere anytime soon. Even if the bandwidth was there, the way the media providers make the most money is through charging you monthly. Plus, we are a long way off before there's 30Mbps bandwidth in people's homes. IMO, streaming video will be passe before the cable and sat companies are gone. They will change either with hardware (DVR; direct to media center computer via card, etc.) because they can make a lot more money than from however many views they get on their websites.
