Just a question. I hope you do not think I am being too! nosey. haha

Do any of you folks spend any money at these channels?

I do. I purchase my notebooks from HSN. Most of my clothes from HSN.

TV's from the Q. The flex pay in this economy and after my injury was the reason I did the large purchases there.

Do any of you purchase stuff for your wife, GF's ,SO's from any of these channels....If so, do you have a particular host that you buy from more often?

I do. MBR on the Q.. Colleen at HSN

Thanks guys and thanks for having these boards and keeping them very interesting and fun

I haven't bought anything in a LONG time.

I've purchased a DVD player and a Bose from QVC. I'm pretty loyal to Best Buy though.

I'm looking for a new TV now. I'm going to take a look at what HSN, QVC and Best Buy offers. If anyone has a recommendation, please let me know.

I bought my last two Gateway computers from HSN, several Xmas gifts for my nephews, a digital camera, a Bowflex system (don't ask), Junior's Cheescake, Chesapeake Bay crabcakes, and Kansas City Steaks, all from QVC. For the record, none of the lovely ladies who are the focus of this site were on when i bought them.

I've bought some stuff over the years Tash, nothing too expensive. Mostly sports-related or electronic items. I can't recall which or if the babes were hosting at the time. I know I've bought more from HSN than QVC. I did buy self-tanner for my mom once off of Lisa R. though.

Thanks GZF. :Kool

That's the problem with buying a TV today!!

You practically need a degree in electronics and engineering to have a full understanding of what you're getting.

I haven't purchased anything from QVC or HSN in quite a while. I did buy a Dell computer while Jacque Gonzales was hosting and even talked to her on air; (that computer lasted for about 5 years).
I bought a christmas gift for my sister from Jacque several years ago, but unfortunately they didn't let me talk on air (Dorian was the model and I wanted to say Hi to her).

I bought a Super-VHS Panasonic video recorder several years ago from QVC which only lasted about 18 months; so I though I'd try HSN for one (a Sharp this time) and that lasted 2 years....lesson: dont buy VHS video recorders from shopping channels.

My mother used to buy quite a bit from the shopping channels in the 80's, mostly jewelry. That's where I was first exposed to the networks, but back then I'd watch for the actual product (shock!) and I also thought that Larry Muzzy was the coolest host on HSN. It wasn't until puberty kicked in several years later when I took better notice of the female on-air talent.

I think my mother still has a small compilation tape of the times she's talked to the hostesses on air, but I don't recall any one of real note (they're probably all long gone, anyway).

I can also thank the home shopping channels for some of my current interests. My mother bought my dad an assortment of 1990 Upper Deck baseball cards as a Father's Day gift, and that got me interested in baseball. I got my first stereo with a CD player as a high school graduation gift, but I didn't listen to much music at the time. One day while flipping channels, the Q was offering the complete Beatles collection on CD. Though I didn't buy from them, I eventually bought a copy of Sgt. Pepper, and it eventually got me into 60's & 70's rock and pop and a CD collection that's maybe 300 and counting.

TIGER DIRECT! great prices - all kinds of selection.....but I digress -

back to the topic -
my wife and I buy ~50% of Christmas on QVC - and probably 4-5 items a month during the year as well - never got hooked on HSN tho -

I joke all the time that QVC is my wife's favorite TV show - trying to keep her away from the 'home improvement' DIY shows - the HONEY-DO list just keeps getting longer and longer :jetserl

Only if they offer"Flex Pay"

I'm broke. And after paying off Jacque,i'd have Sandra on"Auto Ship".

I'll stop payment on auto ship when it's Dave James.

I'll take a look at that site. Just took a quick look. There are some DEALS there!

 ... at distracting your wife when DIY shows are on! I can just imagine how quickly you dash for the remote at the sight of Rick and Dan in jeans getting ready to do an overview of their show!

Ya know, once I started to scroll down, I knew there would be a Jeanne Bice comment somewhere! How the hell are they gonna wrap that? Wait, how are they gonna ship that?

The "Bison" would wipe out all the Cheesesteak establishments and would have grease spots all over her shirt. However, since there's so much crap on her Quacker Factory shirts, nobody would notice the grease..
