On her last day doing the weather for GMA before the second maternity leave begins with her new baby boy being due sometime on Friday morning, Ginger got the chance to wear red on Thursday night .

In the meantime before she returns to GMA, Ginger begins another nationwide tour for her second book Chasing Helicity. It is a story based on the fascination of severe weather stemmed from Ginger's younger years living in lower Michigan. The book is geared towards teenage girls:

After completing her first of three book tours geared to teenage girls interested in weather and science, she is spending her final days from her second maternity leave before proudly returning to the Daytime Emmy Award winning GMA (for the first time since January 31) on Monday, May 7:

Most of the weather discussion during Ginger Zee's first day back from her second maternity leave mostly dealt with the horrific scenes on the eastern islands of Hawaii, where lava has been erupting out of a volcano for the last few days.

As for me capping wise in this thread, my hope is to return to the normal quantity of caps on Tuesday.

Going forward, I will try my best to cap during the late morning or afternoon. However, with some circumstances beyond my control beginning to take over parts of my life--I would be very lucky just to be posting only at night.

In other words, I will approach things day by day, week by week.

Of course, there is always her periodic live shots outside on Times Square and Fridays with the GMA Summer Concert Series in Central Park. This time around, the likes of Halsey, Florence & The Machine, Backstreet Boys, Fall Out Boy, Kelsea Ballerini, Leon Bridges (who will appear at Times Square on August 17), along with Sting and Shaggy will be performing.

Bottom line, the band is back together.
