if she showed that much cleavage and booty every show, it wouldnt matter what set she was on.

This set reminds me a bit of a startup loft for a thriving company that loves to be in the middle of the action.
It looks like the fun times will definitely continue. (and hopefully, no big shortage of couch shots inbetween random shots of the glass table).

Nice low cut dress Robin

Like that the set is more open and has better lighting, that Robin isn't blocked behind an enclosed desk, and the overhead camera angle. I see a lot of downblouses and potential upskirts in the future

Dislike Jennifer's desk, the staffers in the background and the jib camera constantly moving when Robin is on the couch.

The coffee maker next to Jen is because CNN is open a Starbucks on set after all it must be the only place there isn't a Starbucks

They showed Robin's butt so much, I wish I did that everyday, main reason I watch the news.

I, for one, love the new set. After about 8 years of about the same drab setting, this is great. Open, bright, airy and the new desk and furniture are perfect. Like the moving about Robin does a lot of. This has to be partly her input and payback for standing firm on staying there. Way to go girl.

My main complaint is also Jen's desk. Unless she goes out to the (much more comfortable looking) couch during the money segments, we'll never know if she has any legs anymore. Then again, she probably loves the easy access to her coffee.
Others have noticed more practical things, like how there's no time on screen anymore. I noticed that the "Live" bug is now missing. But it's the first day, so I'll expect this and other things to be ironed out soon enough.
And I'm all for a spinoff program where a camera follows Robin from behind for a half hour!

Wondering if anyone knows this --

Since they closed out the old set on Monday, rather than last Friday and have Lynn host from a temp
area over the weekend while they gutted out and moved new stuff in, obviously this is a separate
space -- is this possibly the studio area vacated by Brooke Baldwin?

And I guess that now leaves a whole new vacant area, doesn't it?

I don't know for sure, and I didn't regularly watch Brooke, but offhand it looks like it's her old studio to me. Seems as spacious as what she used to use before the trek to NYC.

I've also noticed some chairs somewhere behind Jen's desk, plus that table where Bob and Mike were sitting during the intro, it'll be interesting to see how these get utilized (provided they're not there just for atmosphere).

A small aside, Mike Galanos is now officially a part of the MXP crew. I'd assume he'll do some side stories like Richard Lui and Ryan Smith did, take over for Brian on sports when he's out, and perhaps serve as Robin's pinch hitter if she's sick or has a coughing fit coming out of commercial because she should know better than to eat popcorn or granola during the break!
