Besides the usual fun caps, I only wonder what QVC will do in terms of giving her a final tribute after nearly 20 years on the air.

Sure hope to see a final clip or two before the night is over.

Just my two cents.

Very classy words from one classy woman.
Well, I am sure someone is working hard on seeing the YouTube clip of her final words on the air.

Time to get out some Kleenex, fans. This is going to be the really sad part. :( :(

I was busy watching college volleyball and whether or not Kobe Bryant was going to finally pass "His Airness" in Michael Jordan by being third on the all-time NBA regular season points list.

What did Lisa say in her final moments on the air?

I wonder if everyone on set actually cried just before the screen went black. Sometimes, but not often, it happens with those kinds of moments when fans feel that external emotional attachment to a person that we genuinely and truly enjoyed watching on a regular basis.

My memories weren't just one particular show from Italy or back in the studio. It is with whatever other fans have decided to showcase here with caps and on YouTube. Occasionally, I would look inside our monthly cable bill or nowadays, whenever my mother purchases gifts after calling the station a few times--I would briefly glance at their monthly program guide. Sometimes, you would see Lisa on the cover. :D

But now her "ship has sailed", so-to speak...
We are all looking forward to seeing that actual clip of her farewell speech whenever someone gets time to upload it.

Sure, things are going to be different on QVC, but the cliche is true:
There will be no one with the talent, the desire, and more importantly, the personality and grace that Lisa Robertson displayed for almost 19 years (a bit more if you count her prior work on other competing shopping channels).

In other words, it is safe to say that no host (no matter how much experience or the exact number of Facebook/Twitter followers) will ever fill the capable shoes of Lisa Robertson. She was one of a kind.

I guess it is time to start jamming that Misc./Ladies Discussion thread for Lisa's next chapter, unless she decides to stay in television for the rest of her career.

As the old adage goes, time does heal old wounds.
Too bad you cannot find too much of Lisa memorabilia on Ebay, this would have been an awesome time for fans to make some extra money. ;)

How many of you starting watching Shopping Channels because of Lisa? I know I did! Yes, there are other hosts that I have liked over the years, possibly even more than Lisa, but she is still my first and you never forget your first. HA HA!!! Best of luck, Lisa R.!!!

I imagine you share the same thought with everyone on the QVC forums.
The amount of followers there who have enjoyed watching Lisa even in the last few weeks has been overwhelming.

I was able to find the final few minutes of Lisa on her final broadcast.

The link can be found in Lisa's normal caps/clips Shopping thread.
At least, you can follow her future adventures on Facebook.

She really should have chosen a different hour to end her career. That's all I can say. The Spurs and Lakers go to overtime the minute her final show ends. I didn't get to watch much. But I can say that to me she went downhill since 2006. I understand the issues away from the camera. Just my two cents that some of the shows weren't exciting anymore. So I wasn't following her much anymore. But I remember how she used to be ten years ago and I'll say it was a good time to watch. I gather she was around much much longer than I got to see. She was on Shop At Home once and if she spent 20 at QVC then it was way before my time and I was probably way too young at that point. Just a shot in the dark and i'll guess she was at Shop At Home, which ended in 2006, from 1985 to 1994.

SAH began as a regional network in the mid-80s and in 1989 it expanded to be a national cable channel. Scripps bought it in 02 and it ended in June 2006. So Lisa could have been those years on SAH. She would have been 20 in 1985. But she was in a pageant in 1989 so maybe she started more like 1988 to 1990 at SAH and left to QVC in 94. Based on the math then Lisa turned 49 last month. I guess since she is nearing 50, and having done the job since her 20s, it was a good time for her to part and do something else.

She didn't start home shopping but without question Lisa Robertson helped make it what it is today. Actually think she is getting off the boat before it starts to sink. I don't think the shopping networks are as popular as they once were nor as lucrative with the Internet taking a huge bite out of that business. I hope whatever she does she is successful.

While the show should have been on earlier, QVC is the one that the decided what hour to end her career on.. not Lisa. Around 2006-2007 was when QVC decided to reshape her on screen image from the "glamorous Lisa" to more of a "fashion Lisa". If anything caused them to change her image, it was the jealous Quaker Factor type biddies complaining about how she dressed and had little to do with the off camera issues.

Lisa was at Shop At Home from 1991-93 moved to VIA–TV Home Shopping 1993-1994 and then unofficially joined QVC in Oct 1994, officially in March 1995. The host use to be in training for 6 months before they officially became a host.
