Is the View in New York or LA? I have suggestions but all ladies I would suggest live in LA. Well Beadle but don't want Sportsnation to go back to the sausagefest it was between CT leaving and Beadle coming back plus Beadle is in LA now. Unsure she would go back to the NYC. I hear rumors the View would even hire male co-host(s).

Rosie O'Donnell is rumored to get one of the cohost spots. The conservative co-host is rumored to be Abby Huntsman or perhaps Margaret Hoover (both great options)

If the folks at The View are smart, they'll hire both Huntsman and Hoover and forget about Rosie. I think that's just trying to get a rise anyway. And since we're entering the height of the political season with the midterms this fall, all the more reason to go with Huntsman and Hoover.

I agree and also think SE Cupp would make a great host

I agree, the View needs more than one conservative person on there otherwise she'll get beat up like Elisabeth was especially if Rosie does come back. I heard Sarah Palin is considered but would she move to NYC plus she might run for President in two years.

Its as we feared...they're going back to the future and not in a good way....Rosie is back...YEECH that continues to give me NO reason to monitor that show. If they wanted to go back they should've gotten Meredith back.... since she left I haven't watched at all.

They kept Whoopi for God knows why...so if they keep picking like they have been picking so far we'll have no reason to even flip by it!

the angriest person about this rehiring appears to be Elisabeth:

I'm sure it comes as no surprise Joy Behar defended Rosie and ripped Elisabeth:

And in a development that would make Boones happy, the name of Meghan McCain has been thrown into the replacement ring:

I agree with Meghan being there. I believe she has more bite than Elisabeth. Nothing against Elisabeth (I know she has fans here and she in a better show for her, I don't care for either show) but since Rosie is all but officially back The View needs someone who can bite back at Rosie. I think Meghan can do that.

It's official, Rosie is going to fill one of the empty co-host positions.

Meghan is gonna be the one who agrees with Rosie 90% of the time :jetserl

I'd love if Dana was on there...she's way too much of a firecracker. She's much too conservative for them. She's smart, sexy as heck and gorgeous. She'd drive them crazy!

Neither Dana nor Meredith can return. Dana is going to be doing radio and tv daily. First she has a three hour radio show then Dana's weekly show on The Blaze is going daily after Andrew Willkow leaves. So Dana is a no-go.

Then former View host Meredith's long awaited talk show will start this fall. It is NBC's attempt to clone Katie Couric's failed talk show. So Meredith back to the View is never happening.

Another no-go is Michelle Malkin who is no longer a contributor with Fox News and opened up about why she left to a cannibas site where she endorsed the legalization of marijuana. Malkin wants nothing to do with New York. Her Fox News contract ran out about the same time Hannity said he might move out of New York and leave Fox News in a few years.

To be honest, the most firebrand women in the conservative arena are too busy to do The View or want nothing to do with it. Cupp is a long shot because she moved to D.C. for Crossfire and if it ended she would rather go back on The Blaze than be on The View plus she never once was on the show yet. I maybe wrong, but she was never tested as a host. Coulter probably said no already. Bila would be perfect on The show but now she does Outnumbered as does Pavlich. The View messed up losing Hasselbeck because Fox News was hiring up most of the big names in New York City who are conservative and so now nobody is left. Another person who also would have been perfect Emily Miller they missed the boat on. She left the Washington Times for Fox 5 in D.C. just in May.

To show how far they would have to go.... they would probably hire Meghan McCain away from Pivot. Thus she would have to move back from L.A. and lose her two shows to do The View. Her choice, but she is no firebrand conservative so I doubt she would disagree with the panel. Instead we would get clips of her bashing republicans, except her dad of course. And the leg would be non existent on the view with her on.

I guess I would go with Margaret Hoover of the poor choices left for the conservative slot. Other people are being looked at for the non-conservative slot like Leah Remini, who has a reality show on TLC, and some Spanish people like Daisy Fuentes or whatever. Some rumors now say Asian celebs are being looked at.

I think the show will be a train wreck and be canceled. There are so many stories online and in the press about how bad things went with Rosie last time and Whoopi just had a dust up with a conservative guy on the show that was brutal. All of the issues with the show is why the executive producer, Bill Geddie quit. He wasn't going to work with Rosie again. He was upset about Jenny not working out and instead causing a dip in ratings. I hate to say it but the show is a joke. I say this after reading a Dailybeast article on all the turmoil on the show behind the scenes. And that is why some big names won't do it.

They could also hire Rachel Campos Duffy

Didn't she tryout for The View 2 times?

SE is hosting tomorrow, so I'm guessing the rumors are true (She also hosted a while back when Elisabeth was still hosting). Crossfire has horrible ratings and while the view is not what it used to be it might be worth the risk looking at how much arguing with Rosie helped with Elisabeth's career.

They also said they want a hispanic host and I think Alicia Menendez (who already works for ABC/Fusion) would be great on the panel. Alicia is guest co-hosting on Thursday.
The other guest hosts this week are Sunny Hostin (Tues) and Stephanie Ruhle (Wed.).
