HLN canceling 12pm and 5pm shows. New schedule Nov. 18th.

Kyra's show and Evening Express are cancelled and replaced with taped shows.
Beginning November 18, a four-hour block of “News Now” from 1pm to 5pmET, is anchored by a rotation of Mike Galanos, Susan Hendricks, Christi Paul and Lynn Berry.

HLN’s new 6 a.m.-12 midnight schedule on Nov 18th is:
6 a.m.-12 noon ET: Morning Express with Robin Meade
12 noon-1 p.m. ET: Showbiz Tonight (repeat from previous day)
1-5 p.m. ET: News Now
5-6 p.m. ET: What Would You Do? :
6-7 p.m. ET: Showbiz Tonight (LIVE, 5th floor NY newsroom)
7-8 p.m. ET: Jane Velez-Mitchell
8-9 p.m. ET: Nancy Grace
9-10 p.m. ET: Dr. Drew On Call (M-Th, Mystery Detectives Fri)
10-11 p.m. ET: HLN After Dark (M-Th, Mystery Detectives Fri)
11 p.m.-12 midnight: Showbiz Tonight (6 p.m. replay)

News Now will air 1PM to 5PM and have Susan, Christi and Lynn - sounds good to me, depending on the set of course.

That 12 noon rerun of Showbiz Tonight from the prior day is odd.

That aside, "News Now" holds a lot of potential just as long as they aren't camped out behind a desk. Hopefully they don't ruin it.

Honestly I though that Kyra and her show would have survived because the original rumors were HLN was based their programming to fit the stay at home mom demo. Guess not since her show is canned and I thinking she might go bye-bye especially since she not on the list on whose hosting News now. Unsure if she'll be back, I'm thinking not but then again I was wrong about her show.

they better not stick Lynn behind the dreadful desk. In the meantime, can cappers/vid guys make an effort to record/get as much Lynn Berry hotness until the end?

"News Now" doesn't sound good. Sounds like a show where the anchor is behind the desk giving us nothing but headshots.

I hope I'm wrong.

It is nothing new as between 2008 and 2010 they had it rerunning then. it was after they ditched Larry King reruns. They went back to news after awhile.

You're not...unless something changes, that block is done entirely behind a desk. This change doesn't sound good.

I guessing their using the old TruTV set that HLN for News Now unless they have another set in the works.

Kyra's been on MXP a lot too, usually giving a report. Her role on that show is similar to what Laura Ingle and Harris Faulkner do on Fox.

Now they are putting three new shows on weekends and promoting them on MXP: A cooking show called Cook Your A$$ Off and a couple of other reality type shows. Soon HLN will look like TWC with news.
