One of the things that I'm sure a lot of us would wonder is what could have caused Horowitz to even
entertain the idea of giving NatMo the boot.
Here's what (IMO) it might have come down to:
A number of the articles out there today say that
Natalie is pretty popular with most viewers, even
female viewers.... So you'd think she'd be pretty secure, right?
But one thing I'm also seeing is that some think
Natalie's gotten passed over for those promotions over the
last few years because --as appealing she may be to look at, or likable, she doesn't have enough "sass" going on.
Think about it -- we hardly ever hear her blurt out the kind of things Meredith or even Katie used to.
Natalie burns rather cool most of the time, and because of that, others tend to overpower her in conversations.
Perfect example of that is Tamron -- and this isn't anything to diss her -- but Tamron's basically got the
kind of verve that you see in Kathie Lee... sometimes too much oversharing, not knowing when to dial it down.
My guess is Horowitz was banking on his plan of cutting loose some of what he saw as the not-so-strong
personalities like
Natalie and Willie being seen as good strategy by NBC, but they balked and kicked HIM out
instead.
So for now, their jobs are safe -- but as Agent Mulder might say:
"Trust no one."
