Elisabeth Hasselbeck To Step Down From Fox & Friends’

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is set to step down from her role as one of the co-hosts of Fox News Channel’s morning program “Fox & Friends,” the cable-news outlet announced Monday.

Hasselbeck, who joined Fox News in 2013 after nearly a decade at ABC’s “The View,” is putting her TV career on hold to devote more time to raising her three children, the network said.

A rotating set of co-hosts will serve alongside Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade for the foreseeable future. Hasselbeck is expected to continue on air until late December.

“Elisabeth and I discussed this at length over several weeks, and while I would love for her to continue here, I respect her incredibly difficult, yet deeply personal decision,” said Roger Ailes, chairman and chief executive of Fox News Channel, in prepared remarks. “She has been a great addition to the Fox & Friends franchise.”

Now we all will be wondering who's gonna replace her. My guess is first choice will go to Anna if she wants it since she's the constant weekend host. I'd love her to get it if not my second choice would be Kimberly Guilfoyle if she wanted it.

I'm sure Ainsley will be considered but she seems to be happy on F&FF :Kool

Wouldn't be stunned if they went out of house since they have done it before

I think Kim wants it and will get it. It explains why Kim hosted the breaking news show last weekend. Obviously as elissbeths fan I'm really annoyed but I saw it coming with all the weird absences

Yeah,me and johnkay talked about this. I'm not shocked either. I'm also thinking it'll be Kimberly but I hope it's Anna. I doubt it though.

I always felt Elisabeth wasn't into the job. I guess I was right. I hope she'll return to television in the near future. I like Lissy lot,and it'll be a shame not to see her on a regular basis.

I think the news business is brutal. But I wonder if Elisabeth left due to health reasons. I wonder why she was off so much. I wasn't gun-ho about her taking the gig at one point, but I liked her. So leaving this quickly is a surprise. I hope she is OK.

I don't wanna speculate really but I think it partly could be for health and she's just being private which is her right to do so, especially since she left not too long back to have surgery for something. I hope its not though and its just what she said it is.

I'd say Anna is choice no.1 and Kimberly is right behind her. I would not be surprised though if they brought someone else in from outside Fox.

The only reason it might not be Anna is her age
Ainsley is the right age and has the right amount of experience at the job
She also is a mom now, which is important with the audience F&F reaches
Can't take Kimmy seriously and can't believe she would leave The Five
Ainsley is well liked at Fox and could get a lot of support if she decides she wants the job
I'll bet if they ask EH her choice would be Ainsley

i don't think elisabeth has a choice lol
i think kimberly really likes hosting it and wants it and they love her.
why else would they took anna off for kimberly to host last week during paris coverage.?

wow that's crazy! but at the same time not to surprised.

i really hope anna gets it! she's works her booty off for fox and deserves it!

if they picked Kimberly or Ainsley i would still be pretty pleased.

what i kinda worry about is if they don't pick anna, would she pull a camerota and leave fox.

I hope it's Anna. I'm not a fan of Kim at all. I don't feel like she has a morning show personality, either, to be honest.
