F.Y.I. - Apparently, this was Sharon’s final appearance on TWC. With her departure, my interest in capping has plummeted to near zero. Accordingly, I just can’t rationalize continuing to pay Fotki to host my albums. The account expires in mid-May, so please feel free to browse/download as much as you like at the link below (there are 495 Sharon albums) until then. It’s possible I could change my mind, but in all likelihood, the account will go dark in about ten weeks. It was fun while it lasted, but as the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

Great caps! Can you confirm what I heard- that Sharon's last day went by with absolutely no mention by even the other staff thanking her, wishing her well, etc. And she wasn't given the chance to remark either? What's with that WC management?

That’s right – there was no mention whatsoever of Friday being her last day. After nearly 15 & ½ years with TWC, it just seems like they could have given her 30 seconds to say good-bye. Oh well. Maybe it was her decision to not say anything. Who knows… They yanked her bio off the website less than three hours after her last shift ended, so it sure seems like they were in a hurry to show her the door. TWC will never be the same to me. It’ll just be the channel that Sharon used to be on…

Thanks for all the caps man. I am with ya, with the internet now who needs TWC, Sharon was the only reason I would tune in. Who knows, maybe she will pop up on CNN in a few years as the weather chick.

Oh, what the heck. After further thought, I'll go ahead and pay Fotki to keep the account alive. It's not like it's a ton of cash or anything, and it would be a major pain in the neck to re-upload everything should Sharon ever return to television at some point down the line.

Thanks ZJ for all of your fine work. I bet that Sharon does return somewhere, sometime, in the future. Hell, 10 years from now she'll still look great.

Sharon was a classa ct...always looked and dressed great.

it seems they're getting rid of all of the old-timers without even a proper send off; except for Marshall Seese. He got to say goodbye. So it bears in mind that The Weather Channel is just letting all the good talent go. Ever since they're been taken over by a big corp, they're going downhill.

They'll keep Alexandra Steele but let go Kristina, Jeanetta and Sharon? Those women MADE that channel. Steele doesn't hold a candle to those three.

Other than Heather, I have no reason to watch anymore.

Your caps of Sharon are great. I actually have loads of videos of her from the late 90s early 2000-02 that I will try and get some caps off.

Luckily I also got a signed photo from her a few years back.

I also agree with Sharon gone TWC is definitely not very interesting to me any more. Apart from Kelly that is.

Glad to hear you will continue. But I understand your initial response. Losing Sharon to look at will be a major blow to viewership!

Thanks for all your work over the years. I remember starting to watch TWC back in 1992 and remember when Sharon first began. It's end of a great era with both Kristina and Sharon gone. I wish them both the best in their future endeavors!

Yeppers...keep capping. You do a great job. I will miss Sharon too. I guess when I need to see her, I'll have to go through the countless hours of video tape I recorded from 1996 until her departure!

My advice would be to keep the account open a while longer even if you don't feel like capping, zj. You never know if Sharon will resurface somewhere.

Interesting that Sharon has NOT been taken off the TWC Website. Somewhat odd since you would think that with all of the shuffling around of the talent, they would be sure to update it. We can only hope for a return. Great CAPS ZJ.
