She opted not to renew her contract, and she's leaving in December. But, she's not retiring. She's going to work independently as both journalist and producer. |

Her replacement will be Ilia Calederon. Patricia Janiot from CNN en Espanol will succeed Ilia on "Noticiero Univision Edicion Nocturna" on Monday, January 22, 2018. |

I saw a commercial on Univision tonight. It was a montage of older and contemporary clips and said "Gracias Maria Elena Salinas". |

As for her payment going forward, I guess she'll accept the highest offer from anyone. P.S. She also stated that Univision didn't push her out. |
