Side note- who's that toolbox dressed in a white bullseye shirt? Who comes to a nationally televised show as a guest, dressed in something that looks like a faded out Target staff shirt? :no

That looks like internet gossip queen Perez Hilton. He is such a flamer they probably need the FDNY standing by just in case he made the set catch on fire.

Oh yeah, that's right. Who calls himself "Perez Hilton"? I've heard of him, but that's obviously a fake name. His real name is probably "Douchey McToolbag"

Thanks. I'm a big Stevie Ray Vaughan fan, and the anniversary of his death is coming up on 8/27. He died way too young, but his music lives on. :band

SRV was phenomenal. I gotta play a little "Tin Pan Alley" on 8/27. :Kool

Man, I remember talking to an old frat buddy of mine on his way back from Detroit or Ann Arbor. That was about 20 years ago now.

He saw Clapton and said that SRV joined him on stage for a little jam session. Sadly, I think it was that night or the day after that the plane SRV was on went down. My understanding is that Clapton was supposed to be on board too but some good fortune came his way.

Clapton had a chopper to take him and some of his band to- i think it was an airport to fly somewhere. Clapton told SRV to go on ahead and take his spot on the chopper, and that Eric would catch up later. SRV's brother Jimmy was also supposed to be on the chopper, but there wasn't enough room. The chopper pilot apparently made an error and crashed into the side of a mountain not more than a mile from takeoff, but because it was after midnight, nobody knew until the chopper didn't reach it's destination.
Another great musician who dies in from air travel..
