HD is AWESOME and this clip proves it. Gretchen looks GREAT in HD and I look forward to many more great clips. I recommend playing all my posted clips moving forward with the Media Classic Home Cinema Player since it supports the HD codec I am using through the Hauppage HD PVR. I photoshopped the pic to show even more. I never knew Gretchen had nips:) Enjoy!!! http://rapidshare.com/files/160927901/G ... 11-5-08.TS

I'll be surprised if anyone will get that video to play. You can convert the 720p channels like FNC to AVI with MediaCoder if you want to convert it to something people will be able to play. |

His clip was recorded with Hauppage HD PVR. The Hauppage HD PVR uses it's own version of the Mpeg 4 codec which most computers can not playback. Donkeed knows about this as he has to convert Hauppage HD PVR clips before posting them. |

Like I said, most people won't be able to play it. It's an odd h.264 in a transport stream container which only plays properly with ArcSoft Total Theater. Nero Showtime plays back with no audio for most of the files. For Windows you could download ffdshow decoder which might work with MPClassic, but it will likely have audio sync issues. Since it's 720p, it does convert with MediaCoder (free) so give that a try if you downloaded it. Just note that the 1080i's won't work with MediaCoder. |

I got it to play here on my year-old MacBook, but the framerate was probably dropped to maybe 3fps. But the frames that stopped on Gretch's visible bra... |

Guys, I am trying to avoid the extra hassle of converting these files I capture with the Hauppage PVR. If you download the Media Classic Home Cinema player here: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/ you will be able to watch my videos unless you have a really slow computer that cannot handle HD. I am just trying to help and I hope it was OK to post the link. Thanks, SOM:) |

It works fine for me, but sometimes when I can't play a video I put it in Windows movie maker and publish it to a playable format. Just a thought. |

It's not just file extension thing. I have yet to find a player other than ArcSoft Total Theater that plays both audio, video, and they're in sync. |

One last suggestion...you should probably record in the native resolution and framerate. This video is 1080i when it should be 720p for FNC. You will never get better picture than original resolution so there's no point in having a 720p signal output at 1080i. If you set the box output to 1920x1080 @ 29.97 fps you are reducing the framerate from 59.94. I would set the native option on your DVR or Satellite Box so it outputs the same as the signal. You will notice the difference in the motion with the original framerate. The PVR records in whatever the output signal is. I mentioned this will encode using mediacoder, but I was mistaken since it's recorded in 1080i. |
