Wide World of Women

This subject of this interview is something really close to the hearts of people in my community. On June. 6, 1944 the town of Bedford, Virginia lost the most soldiers per capita than any community in the country. Nineteen of my town's native sons, a community of only 3,000 at the time, lost their lives that day. They will forever be known as The Bedford Boys. In honor of their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of many other soldiers on that day, a magnificent monument was built: The National D-Day Memorial.

Here is an interview that Emily conducted, with Angela Lynch, herself a Bedford native, and a former anchor with many TV stations in the area.
