I scanned the first hour and 20 minutes before going to something else. It looks pretty much like I expected based on the description given in the news articles. Several people were asking where Jen was today, I'd say she was fortunate. |

Yeah Jen gets to actually do weather for Wake Up With Al instead of being on the talk show on at 7am. |

The only advice I have about AMHQ is to just sleep in. It is a far more productive use of your time. Maybe, just maybe, they took too much money from their investors and are intentionally trying to produce a real stink bomb so nobody ever expects a dime back. "Look! Mike Bettes is wearing a cardboard belt!" (Sincerest apologies to Mel Brooks) |

Apparently each hour of AMHQ is supposed to be different from the other. This is annoying because means you have to record all three hours as they don't do the same segments every hour as they did on the old AM show. Usually I would just record 9am. For the first show the 9am hour had almost no forecast segments the same as the 9am hour of Today has almost no news segments. I'm sure as people complain the show is going to have to do more forecast segments. |

Ratings are down: http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/sam ... gs_b217831 The ratings for the premiere of Sam Champion‘s “AMHQ” on The Weather Channel were overcast, to say the least. “AMHQ” drew 207,000 total viewers and 64,000 A25-54 demo viewers from 7am-10amET, down -12% in viewers and down -14% in the demo from the Weather Channel’s prior four-week average in the timeslot. The 8amET hour was the most-watched with 240,000 total viewers and 78,000 demo viewers. |

You said it. October cannot come fast enough for The Weather Network and AccuWeather.com's new cable channel. transitfan wrote: Anything Comcast touches turns to crap

TV Ratings: Sam Champion's Weather Channel Show Bombs http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-f ... her-689444 "AMHQ," the former "Good Morning America" weather guy's new morning program, falls short of the network's recent performance and ranks 80th in all of cable. The forecast is not so good for Sam Champion's new Weather Channel show. AMHQ pulled in an average of just 207,000 viewers during the course of its three-hour March 17 premiere. That number would not be a huge bummer for Weather -- it isn't exactly a ratings force -- were it not for the fact that AMHQ actually fell 12 percent from the four-week time slot average. And that's following weeks of an aggressive marketing campaign from the network, which is actively trying to broaden its brand (and its audience). AMHQ's haul had it ranking 80th in all of cable between 7 and 10 a.m.. That's below HLN's Morning Express with Robin Meade (No. 52) and a Lifetime rerun of Frasier (No. 66). |

Do those ratings take into account the lack of DTV customers? |

Well it may suck but that new chic (not Maria) was killing this morning in a black dress. I like her, hope she lands something solid after Sam's show tanks. Maria has let me down. Her wardrobe is better than what she's displayed the first two days. |

I saw a promo for AMHQ this morning. On Fox News Channel. Cable and satellite providers often put promos for shows on competing stations but I have DirecTV and I don't think DTV put it on. Comcast/NBC bought time on FNC. So no Breakfast with Champion for me. |
