Sounds like a nice alternative to what TWC has become, and I guess you could
think of what they're planning as "Weather Channel Classic", but can they actually get away
with using the term "weather channel" in their name?
I'd think that might be just asking for legal action from NBC/U.

Best thing would be if they can nab some ex-TWC'ers like Heather, Sharon, or Kristina if they're interested.

If AT&T U-Verse gets this channel I will definitely watch. I stopped watching TWC almost 2 years ago.

Yeah, TWC is terrible nowadays.

Yes, one of the Facebook posts said that "several" former TWC meteorologists will be "introduced on the website in the next few months."

Finally, a channel whose time has come.

And if you have seen the graphics on NWC, they aren't that bad.
Much easier to read, even if they have to flashback circa 1989.

Btw, how about bringing back some other names like Cheryl Lemke--since Nicole Mitchell looks firmly entrenched in the Al Jazeera English outlet.

Please keep us updated. October 1, 2014 cannot come fast enough.

They should just call it The Weather Network or The Weather Station and there wouldn't be much NBC could do about it

Oh I hope they get Heather Tesch and Sharon Resultan, then I hope they have HD and get picked up on Direct TV, then The Weather Channel gets dropped since NBC destroyed it, the last straw cutting the actual screen size down with its stupid oversized border garbage

Foxmulder241, The Weather Network is already taken as the main weather cable outlet in Canada.

I hope this works out. Sharon, Christina, Kirsten Dodd, Marney and Melissa Tuttle all live very close by.

Afraid Melissa Barrington moved to Ohio though which is a shame...................
