Just when you think TWC can't get any worse,
"America’s most-watched Weather Anchor, Sam Champion, is bringing his talents to the number one destination for all things weather, The Weather Channel. The move was announced today by David Clark, President of The Weather Channel. The award-winning journalist will anchor the network’s new flagship morning show, which is set to debut in early 2014. Based at The Weather Channel headquarters in Atlanta, Champion will also assume Managing Editor responsibilities at the network."
What women are going to get kicked of the AM show when they announce the OCMs for the new AM show? :Tantrum :Furious :censor

The only good news is Ginger Zee is being promoted to GMA weekdays.

Dont think Wake Up With Al is going to be on much longer as no way Roker plays second fiddle to Prince Polesmoker!

What's the matter with you guys? Where's your weather clip and cap spirit? I'm sure any weatherman or weatherwoman will move to PM as in evening hours.

There is nowhere for OCMs to be moved.
Weekdays Kelly and Paul are on 5pm-7pm. Chris does 7pm as a solo OCM shift with 2 or 3 appearances by another OCM for some segments.
Plus they now have Jennifer Delgado who needs a regular shift.
This is not a good move as TWC did not need another personality to host a show like they have with Al.

For that matter, if this new program is being described as a "flagship morning show",
isn't that pretty much a slap in the face to "Wake Up"?
Sounds as if they might be eying an end to Al's show in the not too distant future.

CELEBRITYSLEUTH that cracked me up needed a good laugh today :jetserl

This just makes no sense any way u look at it. Why leave the no 1 morning show on network tv-prehaps the easiest and most overpaid job in the usa-for a low rated weather cable network that has no weather and why would nbc need another dude OCM when they can't throw a dead cat and miss a male OCM in atl now
It's looks like at least 2 current OCM will be gone. My guess is Mike and Jen

Changes on 7am-10am might not be so bad as they usually use 2 women for the am show and I'm sure they know people due tune in for the female OCMs.
The only other thing they could do is have the new show on 7am-9am and have WCL on 9am-11am getting rid of the WUWA rebroadcast.
That gives TWC a place to put the OCMs who don't have a regular show.
