Sunny outlook: Emmaus grad loves being Weather Channel co-host

Jim Cantore is the rock star of weather.

The Weather Channel personality is known for reporting outside, withstanding torrential downpours and heavy winds during hurricanes. Macungie native Alexandra Wilson is thrilled to be working alongside Cantore as a co-host of "Weather Center Live" five days a week.

"It blows my mom's mind when I tell her that I'm going out for a drink after work with Jim Cantore," Wilson says, laughing. "He's actually one of the coolest people."

The 2002 Emmaus High School grad is one of the newest faces on the 24-hour cable channel.

Everyone here in the FL Panhandle hates him. When Hurricane Dennis hit here in 2005, someone put up a sign saying something like "Dennis and Jim Cantore not welcome here!". :jetserl

He doesn't have any fan clubs in south Louisiana either. :jetserl

Hmm, since the article says she graduated HS in 2002, she can't be any older than her late 20s/early 30s

I learned from that article that Alex grew up about 5 miles from my house.
