Last week it was Jeff Morrow who left.
TVNewser said expect more OCMs to leave and they were right.
Adam Berg is leaving TWC this week.
Makes you wonder if any of the women are leaving to.
A poster at the TWC Today Forum said it was not Jeff's choice to leave though TWC wanted it to appear that way.

I'd say the women are a little safer since most of the station's newer hires have been men. But I could see Julie or Kim being gone. And even though she's my favorite anchor on any channel (not just weather babes), if Heather is kept in her current spot as a weekend/part time OCM, I see her being gone by 2013. I don't think they'll fire her outright, she'll either walk away or they'll just not re-up her contract. I think CNN would make her an offer, or certainly a local one in Atlanta (which would suck for the rest of us). The only ones who are untouchable are Cantore and Stephanie. Bettes, Jen, Maria, and Crystal seem pretty well liked by the higher ups as well, so I can't see any of them going either.

I think it is difficult to speculate. We do not know if the OCMs are requesting these (what seem like odd) shifts.

Heather may be asking for weekends only so she can be home with her kids, for example.

Or, as you suggest, they are trying to force some of them out. Kelly is a good example. She was on the 7 to 11 AM shift last weekend, and yesterday she had the evening/night shift including the 1 - 2 AM EDT shift. Her choice or theirs? Kim Cunningham and Maria Larosa also seem to get bumped around a lot as well. (The men might as well, but I tend not to pay as much attention to them!)

The "Weather" Channel is, quite simply, a total cr@p sandwich. Nothing they do would surprise me except if Al Roker left. That would be progress!!

Give NBC long enough and they will restructure decent ratings out of everything they own. :?

Nicole Mitchell is reporting that Heather Tesch is among the OCMs being let go. :Bang

I knew she wouldn't be with the station much longer. From everything I've read Heather was one of the most vocal critics of TWC's new direction, and I bet the weekend demotion was punishment of some sorts. Sounds like she's been mentally out the door for a while now, so I won't feel too bad. I'm just hoping she pops up somewhere else. If she just retires altogether I'll really be :Bang :Bang :Bang

Someone asked me which OCM's "left". My understanding is Jeff M., Adam B., and Heather T. later this month, but somehow the word left doesn't seem to adequately convey that to my knowledge it was not by choice.
Additionally, there are many great behind-the-scenes people. Producers, production people, website writers, etc., who might not have the financial cushion and need to provide for their families. Once again, a sad day!

Nicole has removed that post mentioning that Heather was let go.

It's in the comments for the first post, have to hit "previous comments" once and it's there.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's still there. The only thing that probably seperates Heather from Morrow and Berg is that I think her departure is sort of on her terms (her contract came up, she didn't want to resign and the station was fine letting her walk). Unless they were going to put her back on the weekdays I don't know why she'd want to stick around anyway.

The good news is Kim was on Tuesday so she is still with TWC.
Danielle is still subbing and is on Today 11am-2pm.

Is a disgruntled former employee a reliable source?

She did post an article from Media bistro and I'm sure she's still friends with TWC employees.

Maybe not, but Jeff is already gone, and Adam is on his way out. Why would she lie about Heather?

If Heather goes it will be time to turn off the Weather Channel.

I just hope if this is true she gets another TV job, and quickly.
