Post subject:  Linda Ronstadt - The Johnny Cash Show (1969) (C+V)
Linda Ronstadt was 22 years old when she made the first of several appearances on Johnny Cash's ABC variety show.

There's an interesting behind the scenes story about this episode... Apparently, Linda preferred performing "commando"
(certainly was ahead of her time :mrgreen: ), and Johnny's wife June had some major problems with that.

Given Linda's dress, it's easy to see why.
There's no way to be sure who won that dispute, but even so, Linda put on quite a show that night anyway. At this very early stage of her career,
Linda looks sort of like a cross between Marie Osmond & Selena Gomez. (careful watchers will note she's also barefoot)

Well, we knew that she travelled to the beat of a different drum to be sure. Ahh, barefoot. Copying the style of that other songbird of the era, Sandie Shaw. Such a sweet look on her. I mean in the face. The rest is hot. Caliente! Thanks for beautiful Linda. Hmm.

Linda is one of the all time great singers. She was also incredibly hot in her youth.

:shades I remeber her old band Stone Poneys...then Linda went solo, with a band that consisted of guys like Glen Fry, Don Henley, Randy Meisner, etc... :shades

I was SO smitten with Linda in the '70s!! I saw her "live" twice, and her voice was every bit as powerful and sexy as it was on vinyl (remember that?)
