Wide World of Women

Although the show is still in production, I'd probably be pushing things by placing these in the current section. These caps are from the recent best of DVD, although the fact that there are no episodes between 1976 and 2006 indicate that there are likely more to come. Since I am a game show junkie, I couldn't resist including one cap of the only 2-player pricing game, a two-player clock game type game with alternating guesses and the higher/lower hints.

I still have adolescent dreams about Anitra. In addition to several TV guest appearances, she was in a handful of drive-in B movies, and usually naked. Most noteworthy was "The Big Bird Cage," as well as "Invasion of the Bee Girls." I'm sure she must have a couple of Oscars on her mantle for those.

Although I love the current crop of models on TPIR (Brandi, Lanisha, Rachel, Gabrielle, Phyre, Amber, etc.), and I liked the ones of the late 1990's-early 2000's (Heather Kozar, Nikki Ziering, and Claudia Jordan), the original models (Janice Pennington, Anitra Ford, [and the one who replaced her, Holly Hallstrom], Dian Parkinson, and Kathleen Bradley) will always have top place in my heart for TPIR Models.

Come to think of it, now that Drew Carey is hosting TPIR after Bob Barker retired, I wish some of the original models would come back to the show.
