This would be the best vidcap of 2007 but no one caught it. During the New Years Day noon newscast, anchor Kristine Johnson, who was very pregnant at the time, had on a very thin maternity blouse. Nothing notable happened until a cooking segment towards the end of the newscast. The A/C was probably turned up between commercials because her nipples were at full attention and her top with practically see-through. She was forced to awkwardly cover herself during the entire segment with her hands over breasts. I have never seen such a thing before or since.

It's funny because it's been over a year now and I also have never seen a mention of this incident on any newsbabe website. It really would have been a hall of fame video.

Well, anyway here are the rest of the best of 2007:

that would have been great to see. i guess you couldn't capture it. Kristine is great looking. the whole CBS 2 roster is very hot,but they don't get to show off that much. i guess they want to be a professional newscast, with the emphasis on news. they should take a lesson from Fox News

Yeah, but the same can be said about other stations as well.
I've said it before but I believe that the conservative look is a reflection of the city and primarily based on the fact that the all of the local NYC stations are flagship stations of all the major networks.

It's funny you mentioned that cos I was telling IcemanNYI about that just the other day, I was telling him it was one of the best missed capping opportunities ever! Although I did feel bad for her. I remember she was folding her arms in front of her chest and you could sense she was embarassed. I thought it was a little later in the year not new years day but you'd probably have a better idea than I would being you watched and capped WCBS frequently.

As always centricguy, thanks!

It definitely was. Here is a crappy screencap that I took from the said incident:

Oh yeah, she put on a black blazer during the 5pm newscast, so a repeat performance was never in the cards.

Centric Guy....you just destroyed me. Kristine is one of my favorites and knowing that there was a missed opportunity is torture. Oh well, life goes on.

I'll report back if I have any luck!...Centricguy, are you sure it was 1/1/07? The cap indicated 55 degrees. Was it that warm last new years day?

I did some hunting...

There are numerous "official" sites that have videos posted of Tony Tantillo segments. (The segment during which the amazing event took place)

ALL of them have almost every day of his segments available EXCEPT January 1, 2007. It has been removed from all the archives. UGH!!!!!!!

I would bet that WCBS burned the tape so that it would never again see the light of day.

Hey at least you actually had that one cap. Her protruding belly button is proof enough that that shirt was definitely not TV friendly.

January 1st, and I remember it like it was a yesterday...damn this last year really flew by. :(

Yep, I checked cbs2's site and played around with the url codes hoping Tony's segment would pop up but no such luck. I found everything from January 1st, 2007 except that segment.

Not HQ, not resized. It's off a flv stream but you get the idea. There's one from 5pm...wearing said black blazer. :P
