Everyone: The Admins have made an executive decision to move this forum to another server as a result of the forum being down for most of the day today. The length of time that the forum was down including the hosting site's webpage as well at the same time was the final straw! What is going to happen.... Yoda has done preliminary testing and found he needs some more work before we can move the forum. Once he is confident he can move the forum seemlessly, he will make an announcement warning and shut down the forum and copy the full database to transfer to the new server. By closing the forum, new posts won't be lost (and TK won't lose 2,000 posts that he'll have to redo ). How will I find the new location? Not an issue since an automatic re-direct will be setup to direct you to the new location. We will have a post with the proper link so you can save that in your bookmarks. Where are we moving to? The forum is going to be moved to wwofw.com. After we move the forum, we'll wait to for everyone to settle in and then we'll decide how to move the wideworldofwomen.net domain name. We can have another domain on the same server account. I am sorry for the lack early input by you guys but at times we must act quickly in the best interest of this place. Everyone: We are getting close to the big move. We have been stymied with recreating this forum as you see it with no missing posts. However, we think we have hit a breakthrough tonight and I would suspect that we would be doing the move within the next few days. As I said before, we want to make this move as painless as possible for everyone.

marlboro has one small request!! When we move and the forum is empty,keep marlboro active and give marlboro the power by activating the admin switch.I just want to see marlboro's name in orange and ban the hell out of everyone who ain't here!! BTW,where is our current home? For all we know,we could be located in a igloo in Alaska. |
