One thing that I noticed about the new board upgrade is that it's slightly more picky about the display of your avatar, but it may not be noticeable until you try to change it. This version asks you to specify the size of your avatar, and your avatar's dimensions at the time of the upgrade are stored in your profile. These will stay the same if you change your avatar, even though your new avatar might have different dimensions. This might result in stretched or compressed images for your avatar, but there's an easy way to fix that...
Once you go to your avatar setup screen (User Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit avatar), note the circled feature where it's labeled
Avatar dimensions. The new pixel size of your avatar must be specified here. If you don't know the size of your avatar, simply erase both fields and press Submit with both the fields blank, and the board will automatically configure it for you.
Presto! No more squeezed faces!
Let me also remind you of the underlined item in the screenshot, all avatars must be no bigger than
175 x 175.
