in the past i uploaded some videos to tumblr but if you start using too much bandwidth then they might delete your videos, like they did to mine. It might be better to upload to a video site and then embed it on your site. you could upload it to youtube as unlisted then embed it or upload to dailymotion and embed it on your site to avoid tumblr deleting. that's what i would do at least.
