I just noticed it's still around. http://rapidshare.de/ Anyone using it? It has 300MB limits...better than 200MB RS.com |

In principle, we host data without a time limit. But files that have not been accessed for 90 days are deleted to relieve the system of forgotten and not needed content. This rule does not apply to Premium members. For .com Your files will be hosted as long as they are active. When your file is not downloaded for more than 30 days, it will be deleted. For .de sounds like even if you're premium you get 30 days |

A site that I go to, a member knows somebody that works at RS. It's been awahile, but if I recall it right, they lefted the country that when RS was .de had somingthing to do with copyrights. So they moved to another countryand became .com I forget the whole storyof what made them change. But from what I have seen. as long as you keep your account up to date, they did away with that 30 & 90 day deleting. 1 of my accounts, I maxed it out and got about 1 & 1/2 years worth of points. My 2nd account, I good right now til about this time next year. Anyhow, if they are deleting files on the 30 & 90 days without any d/l's they are missing mine. I believe that the only way files gets deleted now is, if somebody reports them. BTW, if you report files, you better watch out of who's you complain about. cuz that can make it rough on you in the long run |

donkeed, when I go back to the site, I'll check around to see who knows the person that works at RS. and ask. I think I saw where they are cracking down now in France & Australia on the copyright crap. I also got a feeling that it's going to come to the US with the setup in DC. PhonyWood & Porn give alot of $$$$$ to the Dems. and I'm sure that they will want a crackdown now that the Dems don't need the Reps. to get anything done or stopped, do to some of the Reps. in the senate are Dems when you get down to it. (if so, I have alot of deleting to do) |
