Post subject:  Using Windows Vista

I'm about to seriously upgrade my home computer (the one I use for capping). Right now, I'm using Windows XP Professional. I'm pulling the disk drive out of the older box and putting it in the newer one. I'm taking such a jump in processor speed and memory that Windows Vista will run easily on this new box.

I wonder if anyone has any experience to share with Vista and using things like Media Player Classic, DIVX Author, or anything like that? I don't want to run an upgrade program and then find out all my old programs won't run.

Thanks! That was helpful. Even though I'll have 4G memory on the new motherboard, I'm not seeing the case for going to Vista Ultimate yet.

I purchased a new PC a few weeks back...

I do not think that I will ever like it (Vista). Horrible OS.

I installed a second hard drive just so that I could have XP (I know I could have partitioned but...)
