If anybody knows of good *free* programs to re-encode video please help. I want a program that can help clean up video and make it better quality. Thanks. |

I want a program that can help clean up video and make it better quality. Thanks. Yes, Virtual Dub Mod. This is what i use, Virtual Dub Mod has built in filters to clean up your encode. For my giada encodes i will use AutoGK, for some strange reason it encodes giada much better than Virtual Dub Mod. AutoGK does everything for you, some clips come out better than others. Try Virtual Dub Mod, using filters will slow down your encode depending on your processor and bus speed. But it will make pretty damn good avi's. |

Yes, virtual dub mod for avi's for sure. Do you want to just encode to avi's though? What is the original vid format, and what is the final format you want to end up with? There are a few good options for mpegs, wmv's, and other file types. Or if it's easier, what is your ultimate goal? To compress the vids down? To change to certain filetype? To join vids or split them? |
