Please, which of the following renders better results in obtaining good quality videos (better resolution or better image)? a) vhs to dvd b) vhs to cd |

SVCD quality is almost as good as DVD quality, but not quite. Also dvds have much more room for recording, and if you compare cost per byte, dvd+r's are a much better value than cd-r's. DVD's are the clear choice and dvd+r's at that. |

when you record a VCR tape to a CD or DVD, what you have on the VCR tape, will look the same on a DVD. I never recorded a VCR tape to a CD, my guess would be that it would be the same as putting it onto a DVD, but not sure 100%. As donkeed said, a DVD holds alot more then a CD (about 7 times as much) In other words, you will not be able to take a old VCR tape and make it into DVD quality. |

Thanks to both. Is there any advantage in using dazzle (video capture card), instead of a TV tuner card (in passing from vhs to PC)? Maybe better quality of video in terms of resolution or image quality? |
