I can't get any audio with dscaler....is this normal.? I regularly use Media Center to record programs, and audio and video work fine.

I use windows XP Pro and I can get audio just fine with Descaler. May sure you have the audio cable connected correctly.

Then launch Descaler.

Bottom left corner where it says volume mute click on that to bring up a pup up menu. May need to right click with mouse

Go to Bit Card option and pull down that menu

The select audio input.

Make sure audio is not muted and you have slected appropate audii source below. I use external since I bring audio into my video card from a VCR.

I have never had this function quit on me yet

I haven't responded because I've been doing a lot of upgrading with a bunch of stuff in my house, but now I have a chance to sit and figure some of this out.

I don't think I have the same version of Dscaler as you do because I don't see a volume control on the bottom left corner. The audio is definitely hooked up right because it works recording programs with Media Center. I've also tried all options with audio input....nothing seems to work. :?

I appreciate the input , but I think it might be a congfigurartion issue. I'm going to check out the Dscaler forum to see if anyone else has this problem. ;)

I'm not sure what you are using the descaler for with your WMC. You might what to check out the site below, it may help you.

I just run mine and get pics from a screen capture or use Cyberlink DVD6 if that is what you are doing.

I use Nero to make caps from Media Center, but I just moved my dvr in my room. I use the receiver with MC and the dvr with dscaler.
