I just got a message that I was banned. My IP to be exact. Reloaded the page a few times and got it to work.

This is a strange bird. I haven't had any login issues but now my thumbnails don't show with IE just the BB-Code. If I use FF everything is fine?

OK; I take that back :Doh I'm not stemlover.
And I just switched to FF and notice my username is correct plus the thumbnails now appear. Like I said "strange".

Disable BBCode was checked in the post. That's why the images did not display.
As far as why the usernames change I'll have to do more research on that.

Tried signing in this morning. Got the message that my IP had been banned due to spamming. :shock:

I was able to sign on a few minutes later, been working OK since.

Fellow Members,,
This is what happened to me a few weeks back,,fired up my machine, hit the WWOW site and lo and behold, I was already logged in as "itsnotme(followed by 2's and5's)",,,,could this be members accounts that aren't logging out could be "floating" in the system only to be snagged by the next one to access the site? All I did was log that "member" out, sign in and all was
well.

Although the frequency of these occurrences aren't as bad as they were before, yes, it still happens every once in a while. Sometimes hitting the Back button on your browser a few times will knock things back into place. If not, do what djmarv did and log out then log back in. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

The last time I was logged in as someone else I realized I had access to their mail, etc.. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with someone perusing through my PMs (private messages)

I would second what Chris said. It just happened to me again, and when I logged out the screen refreshed and I was logged in as another member who isn't me. After my 3rd attempt I was finally able to login as myself.

The thing that has been happening on this board for the last couple of months where your login gets changed to another person took a dramatic new twist today
I was on the board early this morning, checked a few sections and added some Anna shots to the thread I keep up in the Fox section
I then left to check some other sites
I came back and found a message saying:
"You have been permanently banned from this site"
I'm sure that news would make some on this site very happy :jetserl
My first thought was "What did I do?"
I emailed the administrator and messaged Laker and Pool via Facebook
After about three hours and numerous attempts, I was able to log back in
I want to thank Laker and the administrators for helping me :thankyou :rock
But this login problem that has hung around for a while has GOT to be fixed

found myself logged in as bobafett.. 9 posts since 2005. logged out as bobafett and back in as billmc3 no problem.

but thinking back I clicked on the site and was automatically in... no need to input user name or password. :?

I just tried to get onto this page, and for some reason I had a screen pop up saying "You have been permanently banned". But I've been able to sign on. I've sent a PM. Really weird. No message explaining what happened. Doesn't look like I've been banned at all. Has anyone else seen something like this?

It's related to the continuing login issues. Sorry for the inconvenience. Usually either a refresh or a logout and login will fix it.
