Post subject:  Automated Frame by Frame Cap Software Advice:

I know Nick posted some software he was using to make caps here on this section years ago, but it seemed to be not automated frame by frame cap software. I know some use some or at least close to fame by frame. I don't want to call them out by name, but admire their caps.

I can spend hours on just a short video clip using VLC trying to get it right. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in Advance!

I think someone asked the same question quite a while back. I'm still not sure if one actually exists, but if there is I'd certainly like to know as well! :Thumb

The way I accomplished frame-by-frame capture was to play VLC at 25 or 20% and hold down the screencap button (using Gadwin) for as long as I wanted. Literally that was how I did all my caps, then I'd pick out the ones I'd actually post afterwards. I'd end up with 5,000 to 10,000 caps to go through. It took a really looooong time, but it worked best for me so I always stuck to doing it that way. :Crazy

DVD VideoSoft's Video to JPG converter can be used for frame-by-frame caps or however often you want automated caps.

Well that would have saved me a lot of time. :Doh

Can't believe I didn't find that years ago. Thanks for the tip.

@ Chris: You & me both! I wasted countless hours only to slip on the pause button & couldn't get exactly back to where I was w/o repeats. Your tip would've still helped me. Impressed by your nice caps from even earlier years via your forum. Great quality then even by today's standards...so Thanks for those!!! I stumbled onto to it some years back in search of "Martha" caps. I didn't see it was still active until recently b/c I thought it must still be up from seeing your signature. Nice Brianna K & others you have!

@ "tdubya68801":

Thank You so Much "tdubya68801"!!! You were definitely one of the Awesome cappers I was referencing in my initial post. Going threw your caps is like a show summary w/ all the killer shots. Thanks for your tremendous contributions and sharing this great tip "tdubya68801"!!!

I wished I had asked sooner, but thought it might be a type of thing some don't like to share for whatever reasons.

Please accept my apologies for my delayed response! I thought I replied the above the other day, but just now saw the open page & never clicked "Submit".

Thanks Again & Good Day to you both!
