How do you get instagram on a laptop so you can save the pictures.

It's easy if you use Firefox. After loading the URL of the photo page in your browser (like, say, this one), click on Tools up top and select Page Info in the menu. Click the Media tab, scroll down until you see the photo appear in the preview pane, click Save As..., select your destination, and boom! No more dumb screenshots with your phone! :Thumb

(Done from a Mac perspective, but I doubt the PC version of FF is any different... I hope.)

You mean Google Chrome? It has a page info option as well, however it's far less intuitive. What I'd do is use the developer tools, highlight the image and the tool will link you to the image. A bit complicated but it works.

If you're up for it, there are script blocking addons (uBlock Origin is what I use) for both Firefox and Chrome that'll allow you to remove the invisible, anti-clicky thing on Instagram images so that you can get the old right-click save-as option back.

Any video download browser plugin should easily detect videos on Instagram.

oninstagram.com/profile/(profile name)

Let's say you went to oninstagram.com/profile/jedediahbila for example, you right click the image and choose either open link in new tab or open link in new window, after you make your choice then you right click the pic you opened and select save image as.

Select the link and send it here.

http://catchvideo.net/en

After it catches the video they give you options of what you want to download it as.

If you're a Mac guy who uses Safari (shut up, we're out there!), I found a way to save Instagram photos.

Older versions of Safari had an activity window you could call up with Command-Option-A, which would list the addresses of all the loaded resources in the current page. Apple got rid of that... well, sort of.
Open up Safari's Preferences pane (Command-comma) and under the Advanced section, check Show Develop menu in menubar. This will enable various debugging and monitoring features, but what's important here is that the activity viewer is enabled again. Command-Option-A toggles the Show Page Resources option, which opens up an embedded window in the bottom half of the screen. On the left side, change the option to Images and scroll until you see the posted photo in the preview pane on the right. Double click that address on the left to open the image in a new tab at full resolution. Boom! You're a hacker!

I've been using this method. But, if it's an album with multiple pictures, it only allows you to download the first one.
Any option for downloading all the pictures in an album for Firefox? Here's an example: https://www.instagram.com/p/BzvTVEGn0AR/

Using the same method scroll through the URl's and you will find the link to all the pics.
I put a checkmark beside the link to both pics :Kool
