Post subject:  cheating on a Linux set up
Greetings Gentleman,

Is anyone capping with a Linux computer? I think it is time for me to get in the game, and I am wondering if someone can make the set up quick with, I imagine, a DVR, TV-card, etc. recommendations. What else am I missing?

MythTV software DVR runs on Linux. http://www.mythtv.org/
Mythbuntu http://www.mythbuntu.org/ is Ubuntu + MythTV. If your Linux is Ubuntu, you can just add it on. The Mythbuntu site has a list of supported video capture cards.
If your Linux is not Ubuntu, MythTV site has instructions for getting it running on most other Linux distros.
