Wide World of Women

Anybody know how to set up timer recordings on this software? Something about Duration time and not sure how to do it. Wants time recording starts and duration time... I need some help. I bought the AverTV HD DVR with 3d capacity. When I tried to record a four hour show it did not work. The manual glosses over the information. It's the only thing I can't figure out. Then I can sleep or be away without having to be there to record.
