What are they? and how do you open or watch them? I have vids and pics in that form and can't figure out how to watch or open them. |

Rar files are a way of splitting large files into pieces to share and rejoining them after downloading them. For the rejoining and unzipping to work, you have to have each piece. Some rar files can be singular and can be unzipped like zip files. This format was a popular way of sharing large clips in small segments before RapidShare came along. |

The program i got was only an 40 day trial version. Is there an free one out there somewhere? I hate to leave that board cause i can't open any files from it. |
