These cats at this site have done various things. Here they said basically to use Replay media catcher then it quit working in some versions so people chimed in: http://stream-recorder.com/forum/dowloa ... t8657.html Here they make their own scripts and add-ons for Rtmp downloader programs: http://stream-recorder.com/forum/adobe- ... 14823.html Then there was this thread linked in the first one: http://stream-recorder.com/forum/can-re ... 14800.html Unfortunately the file on the link posted is gone. It was some tutorial. A similar thread that descended into fighting over the fact a poster knew nothing about scripting and couldn't figure out a thing: http://stream-recorder.com/forum/captur ... 12922.html and the final thread: http://stream-recorder.com/forum/adobe- ... 11442.html I hate to be the bearer of bad news, But these cats went into scripting for the Adobe HDS .f4f format when everything they tried to use failed. So bear that in mind. I know nothing about scripting myself. Elsewhere in a thread I lost I read someone say to use snagit and just record the video thru the computer screen software. Well I tried with a free program cam studio and it failed badly. Video was too grainy and no audio. Snagit is a pay program. http://www.realeyes.com/blog/2011/07/27 ... roduction/ |

Download the f4f files using Replay Media Catcher 4 2. Use AdobeHDS.php to join the f4f files together into a flv file. http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/3424 ... converting |

Well I think some video clips are in the AHDS .f4f format to not be downloaded easily at Fox News' video area. What they allow to be downloaded is in flv. Fox After The Show Show is a web show so they allow it. But clips off tv they don't allow in FLV anymore. A solution is video record the clip with a digital camera, phone camera, camcorder or screen capture software. It probably won't be in great quality. I tried to crop out a video with a screen capture software to test and it was grainy. Maybe recording the clip in full screen might have helped or just recording the full webpage and not cropping it out might have been better. I did download a .f4f file with orbit downloader, but it could not playback and there was like five more .f4f flies left to make the full clip. With the Internet Download Manager, it can't detect .f4f files, but IDM was able to download clips off the ooyala player which despite being FLV are hard to detect by most download devices and that is why I am using it. IDM is better than Orbit and the real video downloader, but it kept closing for me the ESPN radio player so I had to use the player at tunein.com till I figure it out. IDM wanted to download the stream. So the after the show show video at Fox News is in FLV format, but not clips off the shows that run on tv. |

The after shows are the same f4f as other Videos each 1 min video has about 10 f4f parts also you need all f4f of the same bit rate for joining The video quality keeps changing when watching online so recording the screen sucks |

My IDM can detect The After The Show Show Videos as FLV. |

Blishell's reply in an area that might get quickly deleted: Quote: Downthemall addon for Firefox will also do the job. It is free-if you go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ it is 9th in most popular. Get the Seg1-Frag1 url -say it is Code: http://..........Seg1-Frag1 example here is code to that file top original bottom removed code http://foxnews-f.akamaihd.net/z/041513/ ... ore=2.11.3 http://foxnews-f.akamaihd.net/z/041513/ ... Seg1-Frag1 Open Downthemall Manager from Tools-Downthemall Tools Click on the + button. In the dialog box put Code: http://..........Seg1-Frag[1:2500] side note if video is 5min or less can change to [1:500] then click Start button. It will ask you whether you really want to download 2500 files! Let it, and you are in business. Point to be noted- by default it downloads four files simultaneously- if your connection is slow, you may need to cut it down to one, or else it will throw an error. Depending on your internet speed you will be offered a suitable resolution. Down load the f4m file itself and you will know how to get the resolution you want 2500 should be ample for most movies- rough calculation is 15 per minute. The files will be downloaded as ....Seg1-Frag1 etc. with no extension After you have finished downloading, check and delete any with a .htm or .html extension. Also check for missing files. If there are missing files either as such or because you have deleted .htm or .html files. the code will be as follows Code: https://github.com/K-S-V/Scripts/wiki php AdobeHDS.php ....Seg1-Frag --rename A full movie will be joined in less than a minute. Imp- Pl rename the joined file immediately- and delete the fragments once you are sure that they have been joined correctly. Before using downthemall again, delete fragments or change its download folder. The one site from where I have downloaded such videos uses the same name for all videos- something in the url identifies actual video. If you do not take above precaution, your joined video will be deleted and downthemall will hang next time you download a video from that site. This works an here is the file. http://www.sendspace.com/file/kpb0zl Ah that answer came from here: http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/3424 ... converting Complicated but I got the concept better. Downthemall can download all the .f4f files. However I am confused a little on the code to use to download, but most confused on using the AdobeHDS.php script I am just trying to read and understand it better: https://github.com/K-S-V/Scripts/wiki |

Cobra wrote: I tried using CMD but did not work for this I also tried CMD to open a normal video but nothing happens Well here is what I was trying to say...The Internet Download Manager which I used to download many hard to download formats can't detect .f4f files to download, but it can detect any and all .FLV files. Using The IDM program, it detected The Fox After The Show Show video clips on Fox News as being FLV video. So I could download it like Melvin. However, If you can understand it...what people found is a program called downthemall or down them all can download the clips on Fox News that are in AHDS .f4f format. You can also try replay media catcher. However you did say that you can save the parts. So what you need to do is rejoin them into one playable clip. This is the only way...using the adobeHDS php script. https://github.com/K-S-V/Scripts/wiki My guess is Fox News is using AHDS on clips from tv shows and Flash Video on clips that are not from tv. But I maybe wrong. However I can see that the files IDM can't detect to download are in fact .f4f files using either the Urlsnooper program or the Firefox add-on called Downloadhelper which tells me if the files are in .f4f AHDS. I would not use that Downloadhelper to download the files though as it can be out of order and are usually not complete. The longer and bigger the video the more parts it will have. |

An update: I found the IDM program is able to download Fox News videos without a hitch now. But some other programs give me issues. Also I downloaded a video screen recorder and was able to record in about as good format as I could a video that IDM was not able to download from the Biography Channel's website. Best recording screen software out there is Replay Video Capture. But for free there is Debut Video and also CamStudio. There are others I haven't looked into. But Replay Video Capture which was supposed to record streams actually does but in a similar format to the free programs. Still it is the best one out there. it is made by Applian, but Apowersoft has their own recording tool as well. |

I gave up trying to download the files with a flash downloader. I just use Replay Video Capture. For free one can try TinyTake, ScreenHunter, CamStudio or Greenshot or any other free screen video recorder. These are for PC. You'll have to Google for Mac if you own one. RVC does a great job and you can just record the part of screen you want. But it slightly degrades the quality, but un-noticeable by 99% of people.. If your going to female dog about it then you are too picky for me. It's better quality than FLV. I download videos in Mpg-4 or the best quality available on youtube. FLV is crappy. |
