Post subject:  Hauppauge HD-PVR input resolution question?

My Hauppauge HD-PVR auto detects the Input Resolution as 720 x 480. There seems to be no option to change that What can I do so my HD PVR captures at a higher resolution?

Are you using component cables?

I'm using the red white and yellow cables, from my dvr hooked up to the front of the pvr box
is that the proper connection?

I don't have one but you should read the manual :)

You have to connect in the back Green-Blue-Red for video and Red and White for audio where it says inputs on the second row

I took screen shots for you

finally got it to work.
Time Warner dvr boxes don't allow HDMI and component outputs at the same time. So I had to unplug the HDMI cable from my dvr and now everything works fine. :D
