I received and installed a AVerTV HD DVR (model MTVHDDVRR) card yesterday and have been recording some videos and making caps. However, I've encountered one very nagging issue with the video capture. When selecting 1280x720 or 1920x1080 for capturing over the component cables, the aspect ratio appears to be wrong.
The first picture shows how the video looks when captured or when viewed through the live tv window. The second is after I changed the aspect ratio to 4:3 in VirtualDub while looking at the captured AVI file. I get the same results with the bundled AverTV software and with VHCapture.
If anyone also has this card, let me know if you have this issue and if you were able to remedy it!
