Just a regular cell phone. All I really need is to make a few calls here and there, and the occasional text message. |

You forgot the droids. I got an HTC Incredible, and I highly recommend it. Lot's of cool apps depending on what you're into, and the touch screen and voice to text are nearly flawless. This phone can almost take the place of GPS & laptop for browsing the web. Of course you can do a whole lot more with a laptop, but that's why I said "for browsing the web." Oh, it can make phone calls too. That new Motorola Droid X looks awesome.

I did forget droid. I'm not a big fan. I actually got the new blackberry torch when it came out Thursday. BB has pretty good security and the messaging part I think is probably the best out there. |

And soon to be in Saudi Arabia and India unless RIM gives those countries the encryption codes.

I'm probably the only person here that doesn't have a cell phone... yet. I'll be getting one for my upcoming birthday, and being a Mac guy, it'll be an iPhone 4. Well, one reason because it's a Mac, the second is because of peer pressure. All my friends have them. My bowling teammates have them. Most of my co-workers have them. One coworker has been trying to convince me to get a Droid. Another coworker, a petite blonde 20 year old, has been asking me over and over when I'm gonna get an iPhone after she got one. Guess who won that argument. I felt like I've never needed one because I never call anybody, but nowadays I figure I'll need one for emergency communication (car problems and such) and for GPS (yeah, I know that's extra). The apps will be a bonus. |

I did notice how AT&T conveniently ditched their unlimited plan just before the iPhone 4 announcement. Not to mention my DSL has been sh*t for the past three months... sometimes I wonder if I'm really going to buy this as a convenience or as a status symbol. |

I have just a regular cell phone, that I rarely use. If it wasn't for family emergencies I would get rid of it. |

A regular cell phone, a Straight Talk LG220. It has mobile web in which I can check weather and sports scores away from a computer or TV. If you can get a Straight Talk phone (no Droids, Blackberries, or iPhones though) they have 1000min/100txt/pic/30mb web for $30 and unlimited min/txt/data for $45 but they are only available at Wal-Mart. |
