I'm stupid when it comes to this stuff so please excuse me, lol, but I downloaded a live concert (MP3's) and the songs stop in between tracks instead of naturally flowing from one to the next. Can this be fixed with software so I can burn it to disc as one continuous concert? How? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

Do the mp3's have "dead air" in the beginnings and ends? Also, are you getting the pauses when you playback on PC or when you burn to discs? |

donkeed, each MP3 is separate so when I listen to them on my PC in my Real Player playlist there is a pause between songs and when I burn it to a CD and listen on my stereo the tracks are numbered and pause in between each track even though it's actually one continuous concert. Thanks. |

What I was trying to figure out was if it was the actual tracks that had "dead air" at the beginnings and ends. If that's the case you would need to use software to get rid of those. If it's perfectly continuous there should be settings on your playback software not to fade or pause between tracks. I haven't much music editing so I don't know what could cut out the dead air if that's case. |

I use a freeware program called Audacity for music/sound editing. You could use that to join all of the separate MP3's together to one big one, and remove dead air or any bits between songs you may not want. I found it fairly easy to use for basic stuff like that. It also has sound editing stuff that can be fun to play around with too, or actually be useful if you know what you're doing   Here's the link to the Audacity site: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ |
