It says Chiefs vs Buccaneers, but it should say Chiefs @ Buccaneers. Because for the first time in NFL history, a team is playing the Super Bowl at their home stadium. I never thought that would happen; usually every time the SB is at an NFL stadium, that home team usually has a terrible season. But the Buccaneers did it; they went through DC, New Orleans, and even Lambeau Field. So not only are the Buccaneers playing at home in the Super Bowl (their second appearance in franchise history), but Tom Brady is in his tenth Super Bowl, and going for his seventh win.
From the AFC side, the Kansas City Chiefs are back in it, having earned a bye due to their 14-2 record, and beating the Browns and Bills to make their fourth Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. The Chiefs are the first defending champions to return to the Super Bowl since the New England Patriots reached Super Bowl 52--the one loss sandwiched by wins in SBs 51 and 53. Patrick Mahomes and Company are looking to become the first back-to-back champions in over a decade and a half--since the Patriots won SBs 38 and 39.

These two teams met in the same stadium on November 29, with the Chiefs winning a close one. The Buccaneers haven't lost a game since then. KC's top ranked offense should be a strong factor, especially the pass offense, as TB can't do a thing against the pass. Though TB has a strong run defense, it was cracked a bit in the NFC Championship. And here's a fact that has nauseated Steelers fans: this year's SB is Le'Veon Bell (KC) vs Antonio Brown (TB). One of these two will win a ring. Oh my. Tampa Bay winning cannot happen. Brady can't have another ring; they'll keep calling him the GOAT even though Rodgers is leagues ahead of him. AB winning would basically destroy karma as we know it. Thankfully, Mahomes will save us all.
Prediction: Chiefs by 5
#1
