Many fans, myself included, couldn't help but celebrate the New Orleans Saints' victory over the Chicago Bears, because it meant that we would get a third meeting between the Saints and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season. The Bucs barely survived the 7-9 Washington Football Team, but let's talk about this meeting. Why is this matchup bringing smiles to a lot of fans? Because of what we've seen the Saints do to the Brady Bucs this season. The Saints were Brady's first opponent as a Buc, and they dismantled TB at home in Week 1. Eight weeks later, the Saints traveled to Brady's new turf and laid a 38-3 whipping on them--a game that saw Brady throw three interceptions. This season has proven that Brady can't handle the NFC, and he definitely can't handle the Saints.

2020 Statistics

New Orleans Saints

Total Offense: 6,023 yds; 376.4 ypg (12th)
Passing Offense: 3,758 yds; 234.9 ypg (19th)
Rushing Offense: 2,265 yds; 141.6 ypg (6th)
Total Defense: 4,974 yds; 310.9 ypg (4th)
Passing Defense: 3,472 yds; 217 ypg (5th)
Rushing Defense: 1,502 yds; 93.9 ypg (4th)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Total Offense: 6,145 yds; 384.1 ypg (7th)
Passing Offense: 4,626 yds; 289.1 ypg (2nd)
Rushing Offense: 1,519 yds; 94.9 ypg (28th)
Total Defense: 5,234 yds; 327.1 ypg (6th)
Passing Defense: 3,945 yds; 246.6 ypg (21st)
Rushing Defense: 1,289 yds; 80.6 ypg (1st)

Yeah, Brady's done this season. Saints' run D is in the top five going against a terrible Bucs rushing attack. TB's run D gave up 220 combined yards in the two games played, and as a whole, the Saints outscored the Bucs 72-27 this season. This is the 33rd time that a team has a chance to defeat a divisional opponent for the third time this season. The saying goes that "it's hard to beat a team three times in a season." Out of the 32 previous opportunities, 20 of them have seen the three game sweep completed, that's 62.5%.

Prediction: Saints by 14

#1

Buccaneers 30, Saints 20

Bucs' defense stifles Drew Brees in his final game of his career; Bucs reach NFC Championship for the first time since 2002.

A complete team win for the Bucs.
