Today's clinching scenarios: Maple Leafs can clinch the North with an OT appearance or an Oilers loss. Penguins can clinch the East with a regulation win and the Capitals going to OT. If the Capitals lose, the Penguins win does not have to be in regulation. If the Penguins only reach OT, the Capitals have to lose in regulation and the Bruins have to lose. Capitals can clinch the East with a regulation win and the Penguins and Bruins both losing in regulation. Canadiens can clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Canucks loss.
