The Wild Card Series is over, now the real fun begins! The 26th annual Division Series will start Monday, and all four series feature division rivalries. Three of the four LDSes are first time ever postseason meetings, and one of them features the Tampa Bay Rays and the New York Yankees. In the Yankees' storied history, there are only three American League teams who have never faced the Bronx Bombers in the postseason: the White Sox, the Blue Jays, and the Rays. The Rays are off the list. The regular season series didn't treat the Yankees well; Tampa took eight of the 10 meetings in this shortened year.

Both teams swept their Wild Card Series; the Rays defeated the Blue Jays, while the Yankees defeated the Indians. The Rays used pitching to take down Toronto, and while the Yankees used the same, it was the bats that powered the team to victory--scoring 22 runs in the two games played. The rivalry has become very heated recently, but when this LDS ends, it will be the Bronx Bombers advancing.

Prediction: Yankees in four

#1

Keep in mind this is the first set of games in the "bubble."

Similar to what the NBA faced when they entered in Orlando, both California and Texas have experienced huge spikes in COVID-19 cases.

Sure hope the protocols that MLB is using will be similar to that of the NBA/WNBA and the NHL.

Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised to hear of any positive cases if the players or coaching staff have to self quarantine.

Bronx Bombers take Game One with power--capped off by Giancarlo Stanton's ninth inning grand slam!!! :shades

Rays 7, Yankees 5

Rays hit four HRs of Yankees pitching; even series in spite of Giancarlo Stanton's 2 HR/4 RBI performance.

Yankees pitching and a clutch HR from Gleyber Torres factor in the Bombers forcing Game Five! :shades :shades

Mike Brosseau's eighth inning blast off Aroldis Chapman (    ) sends Rays to the ALCS.
